This policy explains how Clepit ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use clepit.com and Clepit Cloud at app.clepit.com. The open-source editor you self-host collects no data on its own.
Information we collect
On clepit.com
- Browser type, IP address, and device info (via our error tracker)
- Standard server logs from our hosting provider
- Anonymous analytics on page views and CTA interactions
On Clepit Cloud
- Account details (email, display name) you provide on signup
- Workspace and document content you create
- Billing information handled by our payment processor (Stripe), we never see your card
How we use it
- To operate your workspace and sync documents across devices
- To authenticate you and prevent abuse
- To bill for paid plans
- To respond to support requests
We never sell your data or use it to train models.
AI agents you connect
When you connect an AI agent or assistant to Clepit, we keep a record of the connection: who connected it, to which organisation, the agent’s name, the workspaces and permissions you allowed, and when it was connected or disconnected. We use it to let the agent act only within what you allowed, to list your connections in Clepit, and to let you disconnect them. Changes an agent makes are recorded in your organisation’s history like the changes you make yourself.
What an agent reads through the connection goes to that agent and the company that provides it, under their own terms. A connection sends your data to no one else.
An agent’s sign-in lasts 12 hours and renews for up to 90 days, or 30 days without use, and ends when you disconnect it. We keep the record of a connection for as long as your account exists, like the rest of your account data, and delete it with your account 30 days after you ask us to delete it.

Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, corrections, or deletion at any time. Email support@clepit.com and we respond within 30 days. On Clepit Cloud you can export every workspace as JSON or Markdown before cancelling.
