Product
Is Clepit really open source?
Yes — the editor is MIT-licensed and published on npm as @bomdisoft/clepit-core. Clepit Cloud is the hosted SaaS that sits on top.
Can I self-host the SaaS platform?
Self-hosting the editor is free today. Self-hosting the SaaS is available on Enterprise.
What frameworks does the editor work with?
Anything that can mount a DOM node — React, Vue, Svelte, vanilla JS, Angular. The public API is a single Editor.create({ containerId }).
How is Clepit different from Notion / Slite / Confluence?
Clepit is the only one of the four that ships an open-source block editor library you can embed. The Cloud product competes with them for team wikis.
Is there a free tier forever?
Yes — up to 5 seats and 50 MB storage, forever free.
Do you support SSO?
Google, Microsoft, and Okta SSO ship on the Business tier. SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning on Enterprise.
How does multi-tenant data isolation work?
Each workspace is a tenant with row-level data isolation at the database layer. Tenants cannot read or write across workspaces unless explicitly shared.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export every workspace as JSON or Markdown before cancelling. After cancellation, data is retained for 30 days then permanently deleted.
Billing and plans
How does billing work?
We bill per seat, per workspace. Annual plans are 2 months free. Charges are prorated when seats are added or removed.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from workspace settings — access continues through the end of the paid period and your data is exportable.
Do you offer refunds?
Annual plans are refundable within 14 days of purchase. Monthly plans are non-refundable.
