The feed

Rows newest first, each carrying who did it, where, and how long ago; when the author wrote a label for the change, the row leads with it. A pill switches between All and Followed, so you can watch the whole workspace or only the documents you follow. Refresh re-reads the feed in place; an empty feed and a failed load each say which one they are.

The unread badge

The Updates row in the rail carries the unread count. Opening the screen loads the feed and then marks it seen: looking at it is the only thing that clears the badge, so the count never lies about what you have read.
